Burton Blackwell's The Blackwell Chronicles  

If you love spooky,  your gonna love the Blackwell Chronicles.   Each book is it's own stand alone story from the mind of Burton Blackwell.   Much like Stephan King's stories who are all set in Maine,   Blackwell's books are all set in Missouri and nearby areas,  most of which are real towns.   

These books, although scary, are much more kid friendly and are shorter than the novels of King.   Imagine R.L Stine's Fear Street or Goosebumps series but for ages 10 and up on through teens and young adults.   Be warned though,  once you read one,  you'll definitely want to read them all.  

Sophie Black

Sophie is a native of South East Missouri and is an up and coming writer who blends romance and story telling with a side of chuckle.   Her books are light-hearted and a great way to escape the stresses of day to day life.   Much like Burton,  he books are too often set in Missouri and Arkansas and other nearby areas,   Collect one or collect em all,  you won't be able to put them down.
